The weather has been a little bi-polar lately. Snowing one minute and 60 degrees the next. Call it global warming or as grandmother would say, "monia weather." Either way I take advantage of the one off warm days to pair a favorite screen tee, a mini skirt with over the knee boots. I would wear this to run errands or to meet up with the girls. I love this look because I don't have to wear stockings and I'm dressed for weather and the season.

This winter I was obsessed with the military and marching band style jackets. Fun fact, I was a band geek in high school but my band was amazing and we were state regional winners. I was always first chair flute and one year I was the second drum major. I'm telling you when it comes to the arts, I'm a beast! Debate me. Back to the coats, although this would be considered fast fashion and not a wardrobe staple I think you should get a good one because it always seems to make a debut in the winter months along with army green peacoats and chunky sweaters. I'd definitely consider this a seasonal staple and would put a little coin behind a nice one so I can it wear it years to come. I got this one from Zara but Free People make some of the most beautiful statement jackets I've seen. They're a little on the pricey side but they're worth it because of the details and quality. The trim on this zara jacket is already coming undone. Just sayin.
