STRIPE ZARA CULOTTES
There’s something about being on vacation in a new place that makes me step my wardrobe game up a bit. I still stay in my bland neutral lane, but it’s how I wear the clothes that gives me a lil je ne sais quoi! Because there are so many Mexican and Hispanic neighborhoods, it wasn’t long before I forgot I was in LA, but in Mexico somewhere and it translated in my style.
Wide striped gaucho pants and a simple tank top screams vacation. The turban and apricot sunnies say I’ll have another because I’m not driving. The furry slides gives a nod to my quirky style and need for texture. These shoes, a conversation starter for sure, add that textured oomph you didn’t even know this outfit needed but certainly works and doesn’t compete with the pants.
So about this turban situation. A hair store cheap and cheerful accessorie. I wore it the entire trip because it’s hiding my insecurities of the frontal closure to my sew-in. It just doesn’t pass the “does it look real” test for me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great quality piece and I love the hair, it just ain’t… my hair.
